Comsource is an active member of Community Associations Institute (CAI), earning CAI's Accredited Association Management Company designation and awarded “Community Association of the Year” on the local and national level and the U.S. Green Building Council.
We have assembled a team of seasoned specialists with a breadth and depth of experience that sets us apart in our industry. Our staff comprises Certified Public Accountants, Certified Property Managers, Certified Managers of Community Associations and licensed real estate professionals — all with a rich knowledge in property supervision, association establishment, cost control and financial accounting. Peter P. Mechak, Principal and President
Mr. Mechak, who began as a property manager with Comsource in 1978, is a versatile top-level executive with a successful track record in property and community association management. In 1982, he was named vice president and assumed the presidency in 1989. In this capacity, he oversees not only day-to-day operations, but also Comsource’s vision for tomorrow.
Previously, Mr. Mechak was president of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the Community Association Institute and holds the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation. An active member of the Institute for Real Estate Management, he holds the Institute’s Certified Property Manager designation (CPM). He has served on a Montgomery County task force studying homeowner and condominium associations, and as commissioner of the Montgomery County Common Ownership Commission.
Lynn Wood, Principal and Vice President
Ms. Wood, a member of the Comsource team since 1984, works extensively on associations including reviewing financial statements for accuracy, teaming with auditors to monitor financial health and tracking investment funds.
In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Wood holds a M.B.A. in real estate development from George Washington University and a B.S. in business administration from the University of Maryland. She is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to joining Comsource, she was with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Washington, D.C.
Tony Martella, Director of Property Management
Mr. Martella brings over two decades of management experience to a position in which he directly oversees 11 property managers and over 85 properties throughout the Washington metropolitan area. Beginning with Comsource in 1986 as a property manager, he was named director in 1999.
Mr. Martella is active in the Community Associations Institute and holds their Certified Manager of Community Association designation. Currently, he is a candidate for the Institute of Real Estate Management’s Certified Property Manager designation. He received his B.A. in economics from the University of Maryland.
